The Schumacher PP-2200 Portable Outdoor Power Unit is a portable electrical power supply designed to provide 12-volt DC power, as well as AC power whenever and wherever you need it. The unit contains one built-in DC power socket and two three-pronged AC power outlets fed by an onboard 400-watt power inverter. Additional features include: a 22Ah maintenance-free AGM lead-acid internal battery, built-in surge protection, a rugged corrosive resistent plastic outer shell, push-button charge monitoring and the optional ability to charge while driving (extra accessory required).

The Schumacher PP-2200 Portable Outdoor Power Unit provides just that in a package that is small enough and light enough to easily fit in any car or home emergency kit, while also being powerful enough to keep most devices running for hours at a time before needing recharging. The unit consists of a powerful 22Ah maintenance-free AGM lead-acid battery sealed within a compact and durable corrosion-resistant plastic case with a rugged handle. This allows for maximum power that is usable both inside and outside in most conditions. Whether for use on TVs, spotlights, small kitchen appliances, cell phones or rope lighting and more, the PP-2200 has all the power you need when away from standard household power sources.

AC and DC Power

The Schumacher PP-2200 is designed to serve all of your portable AC and DC power needs. The unit’s front control panel holds two three-pronged AC outlets which are powered by its built-in 400-watt inverter and cooling fan. Together these allow for safe, effecient conversion of the DC oriented power of the 22Ah battery into AC power suitable for electrical devices that exhibit a power draw of 400-watts or less. In the event of a power draw in excess of 400-watts, the inverter is designed to automatically shut down. This safety feature prevents damaging the inverter while testing devices and equipment. The unit’s front control panel also contains a convenient inverter on/off switch which allows users to keep devices plugged without causing an uneccessary drain on the internal battery. After plugging in, simply flip the switch on when you need AC and flip it off when you are finished. Access to DC power is even easier via the side-oriented DC cigarette lighter style outlet. Providing a full 12-volts/15-amp max, this power is always on, meaning that all you need to do is plug in your device via its DC power adapter (not included) and let the power flow.

Maintaining Your Charge From Anywhere

Maintaining the charge within the Schumacher PP-2200 is a breeze as well. After use, and when near to a standard wall outlet, simply connect the PP-2200 to it via the included AC wall charger. Once a full charge has been attained the unit will automatically go into maintain mode and maintain the battery at full charge without damaging it if you choose to leave the PP-2200 plugged in. You can even charge the internal battery of the PP-2200 while driving using the male-to-male charger cable (p/n: 38-99-001564 – sold separately). To do so insert one end of the accessory cable into the 12-volt DC power outlet and the other end into the vehicle’s accessory outlet (lighter socket), ensuring that the DC charging accessory is unplugged when your vehicle’s engine is not running to prevent car battery drainage. Either way that you choose to charge the PP-2200 you can monitor the units charging status right from its control panel with the push of a button.

Schumacher Electric Corporation (the “Manufacturer”) warrants this Portable Power device for one (1) year and the internal battery for ninety days from the date of purchase at retail against defective material or workmanship that may occur under normal use and care. If your unit is not free from defective material or workmanship, the Manufacturer’s obligation under this warranty is solely to repair or replace your product, with a new or reconditioned unit, at the option of the Manufacturer. It is the obligation of the purchaser to forward the unit, along with mailing charges prepaid to the Manufacturer, or its authorized representatives in order for repair or replacement to occur.
